Hello all,
we've received some feedback from the Gemini community that
makes us believe that these subproject are still relevant.
My suggestion would be to collapse all Gemini sub-projects
into one, merging the committers from all of these and adding
the people that is interested in keeping the projects alive.
For the new collapsed committers, the Gemini
subprojects are mature, so I believe the workload would be
mainly associated to keep things working, engaging with the
EMO once a year for a progress review, approving PRs from
contributors and engaging with the community whenever needed.
This way, the Virgo project .-and others- can still
leverage the Gemini projects and they can continue to live on
separately.
@Runtime Project PMC mailing list please
let me know if you agree with the proposed solution so I can
proceed with the restructuring review and associated changes
to the Gemini subprojects.
Kind regards,
Maria Teresa Delgado
Hello,
I have received feedback from the community expressing
interest in maintaining also the Gemini JPA and Gemini
DBaccess.
Kind regards,
Maria Teresa
Hello,
I would like to propose that
are moved into the Githiub organisation
eclipse-virgo[1], since Eclipse Virgo depends on
these three projects.
While the others could be theoretically used as
extensions for Virgo we don’t have any evidence
that the community is using them.
Thus we would like to focus on the core
dependencies that are required to build Virgo
itself.

florian and gianmaria

Hello Maria,
what's the current state of that process? I didn't hear about it
for a long time... :-) Thanks in advance.

Ralf.
