[gef3d-dev] JOGL renderer imported into SVN

A comment on our GEF3D development blog reminded me to add the JOGL renderer into the GEF3D svn.

I've just added this renderer, see

https://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/technology/org.eclipse.gef3d/trunk/org.eclipse.draw3d.jogl

Related bug reports and CQ:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=298264
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=338800
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3652

However, this renderer is not working at the moment for two reasons: first, it is not adopted to the latest Draw3D API changes, and second, no JOGL library is provided. I have created a bug report for that reason (see bug 338800).

Actually, I didn't added the renderer sooner because I hoped to get the JOGL library IP approved, but frankly I doubt this will ever happen.

So, if anybody wants to fix bug 338800: help is highly appreciated. I do not have the resources to maintain two renderers, so without external help I must say -- although I'm very sad to have to say that -- the JOGL renderer is already deprecated.

Cheers,

Jens
