Difficult to say because I don't know what you already installed...
Today I only changed the download repository metadata, the content (i.e. plug-ins and features) remains the same.

- If you installed g-Eclipse components before and their version is 1.0.0.I20090916, everything is fine and you are up to date.
- If you installed g-Eclipse components before and your version is older than the above, you can get the latest version with an update
- If you haven't installed g-Eclipse then you should use http://download.eclipse.org/technology/geclipse/updates/1.0 as p2 repository URL for the main components from eclipse.org (and you may have a look at www.geclipse.eu to get additional components).

In any case, it is usually not necessary to make a complete new download.

So what is the appropriate way to get these fixes?  Does the Eclipse update mechanism work or do you have to download and reinstall with the latest?

Fixed... there was a problem in the p2 metadata that was not re-generated.
Most things should work now. Most? Yes, I wasn't able to install all external components (VTK, Globus) but these are external and not from eclipse.org.

When i insert g-Eclipse (from geclipse.eu (http://www.geclipse.eu/update/1.0/) ) Repository installation start
and this is the output (bellow) ...I get it also on win 7 and ubuntu 9.10 (eclipse version 3.5.1)
