Yes, that's one reason *not* to maintain this redundant information in the database. By using the 'Advanced Searching Using Boolean Charts' on the bugzilla search webpage you can get an overview about bugs with attached patches. You only have to add 'Attachement is patch is equal to 1'... the same works with Mylyn, but you have to specify your query as URL.
