Philippe found the problem and I checked in his fix. You can check out the xml project to build the plugin or just wait for Monday's nightly build to get it.

It's possible...I'm using XML that's generated by p2 (so at this point
it's unlikely to change even if it should be in CDATA section), and I'm
not an XML expert either.  But in any case I'll try to do some more
investigation.
