Re: [ercp-dev] Eclipse Embedded Co-Processor Support

eRCP is the project which has put the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) on embedded devices. Since this platform is a Java platform, I don't think there is much ability to for applications to take advantage of a co-processor using existing API. However, it possible that eSWT, which is mostly native code, could be altered to take advantage of a co-processor.  You could fork a copy of eSWT to experiment with this.

You should seek a different forum for discussion of non-Java platforms. Perhaps Eclipse DSDP.

[ercp-dev] Eclipse Embedded Co-Processor Support

Hey.

I am new to Eclipse on Embedded Device. Simply thought
to have have a document on uses of Eclipse for our
GRAPHICS co-processor. I have few queries before I try
to investigate the issues -
- How can Eclipse be used on Embedded device?
- My coprocessor resides on ARM-Xscale, what are the
  issues to be taken care?
- If I need to use Eclipse, how should I compare
  Eclipse with some other products?
- What purpose Eclipse can support for any
  coprocessor?
- How can Eclipse be thought for Mobile Technology on
  Embedded Device?
- Which high level language/languages on Eclipse
works or would be fine on Embedded Device?
- Can I have some resource or document which gives
  some information?

I am aware Motorola has joined Eclipse for
accelerating it's Mobile Technology.

Regards.
