We have 4.9 RC1 scheduled on Aug 31, 2018. Please refer to the freeze plan https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/development/plans/freeze_plan_4_9.php.

Here is the schedule:

Aug 29, 2018, 8pm EST	Wednesday	API and feature freeze, 4.9 RC1 candidate build
Aug 30, 2018	Thursday	Bug verification and Sign-off 4.9 RC1
Aug 31, 2018	Friday	4.9 RC1 Promotion and contribution to SimRel
