Re: [equinox-dev] [sec] use of Equinox secure storage

Great news! Our attempts at handling authentication in p2 were not very successful due to interaction with java.net.Authenticator, and the cumbersome pattern of catching exceptions, trying to guess if they are authentication failures, prompting and then retrying. Hopefully pushing this down into ECF will make life easier for all clients of ECF including p2.

[equinox-dev] [sec] use of Equinox secure storage

ECF has begun some work on using the new Equinox secure storage to
persist ECF IDs (which are used by ECF to uniquely identify users,
accounts, services, remote resources, other things).  After Ganymede, we
expect this to be usable for (e.g.) automatic login to remote accounts,
single-sign on, local storage of user-data/properties by accounts, etc.
