RE: [equinox-dev] [prov] metadata schema

That's fine. I'm just trying to hack together a prototype in the next hour. I figured it would be faster to edit these files by hand.

Hi Doug,

The format of those files is an implementation detail of a paticular implementation of IMetadataRepository and IArtifactRepository. The file format is not interesting outside of those implementations, and has no guarantee of remaining stable.  If you want to get data from or write data in those files, you should use the IMetadata/IArtifactRepository APIs.  That data could equally be stored in a database, etc, and it should be irrelevant to consumers.
