Additionally, if only the Pax Logging API bundle is installed, it defaults to 
a simple console output. If/when you install the Pax Logging API bundle, a 
full-blown logging backend is launched, and you get the full set of Log4J 
features + the OSGi Log Service features. The service bundle is quite large, 
mainly due to the embedded Log4J codebase.
