Initial Provisioning is primarily concerned with installing the
"management agent" (we still need an implementation). As Jeff mentions,
Deploment Admin is part of the upcoming MEG spec (JSR232) and is a more
general provisioning tool. If you're interested in provisioning, then
I'd definitely suggest reading the Deployment Admin spec. It's not
perfect, but I still think there's a lot to like -- and it's definitely
applicable beyond the mobile space.
The activity in the incubator is a work-in-progress and right now is
just skeletal work. If you want to follow/track it see
