Re: [epp-dev] EPP 2023-03 M1

Thank you Ed and Leif for handling the build while I was on vacation. At a personal level it was nice to find that you all had volunteered and be part of that community. At the project level it is great that the bus factor is greater than 1 now, which was one of the goals of the IDE WG.

Splash Screen
Michael has since reported the bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=581357 follow along there for updates, summary is we are now waiting for an update from EF.

Log/m2e issue
I assume this has been filed to the m2e project (or elsewhere) already? If not, please let me know so we can get that done.

Missing +1s
Sorry that I missed some +1s or mis-reported them. The email is auto-generated, but that part of the email is manually maintained. The primary purpose of this is to monitor the health of the individual packages from a high-level, so I will take it as a big positive that you all noticed the mistakes!

CPP Package
+1 for CPP on x86-64 Linux.

Hi everyone,

Our next milestone build is available for testing: EPP 2023-03 M1

Leif Geiger (thanks for volunteering!) and I have been following the
(awesomely detailed and well organized) steps on
https://hackmd.io/@jonahgraham/eclipse-epp-release-process

As part of the sanity testing, I noticed that the splash screen says
2022-03 instead of 2023-03 so that will need attention.  I also noticed
a problem when updating a 2022-12 IDE to 2023-03 as in the attached log.

Download link:
https://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/downloads/release/2023-03/M1/_mirrors.php

EPP was built with the p2 repositories at:

https://download.eclipse.org/releases/2023-03/202301131000/ and
https://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/2023-03/202301121200/

Please test and send your +1 to this mailing list. +1s are optional as
the package will be published anyway.

Last +1 received for each package and platform (apologies if I missed
one of your +1 emails, just let me know and I will update Last Recorded
