Re: [epp-dev] EPP 2021-06 RC1
Hi all

+1 for the RCP/RAP package in version RC1.

The included RAP Tools need an update to work seamlessly with the new RAP version. The required change will be part of RC2 and is already included in all nightly builds from today on. After manually updating the package I was able to verify that everything works as expected, but once RC2 is available, I am going to test it again.

Thanks for the update. Once upon a time a lack of a +1 meant the package wasn't published. 

More recently an update would be listed next to the download link to warn users of serious problems.

We retested the Java Package (Windows and Mac OS Big Sur). Although slf4j API is still version 2.0, the maven console was working again in RC1. The Gradle problem (https://github.com/eclipse/buildship/issues/1077) is still there, but that seems to be already existing for 2021-03. So at least things did not get worse. Hi everyone,

Our next milestone build is available for testing: EPP 2021-06 RC1

 

Please note that this build includes Java 16 for those packages that include a JRE. Please test that this doesn't cause a problem for your included plug-ins.

 

I have updated the incubation information for some of the packages that were missing the required info in the about dialog, see Bug 573989 for details.

 

I removed most of the N&N links because they were not up to date. See Bug 569754.

 

I have been following the steps on https://hackmd.io/@jonahgraham/eclipse-epp-release-process - you can see the checkmarks as to what is done.

Please consider waiting until a mirror closer to you has had time to replicate the file, to make this easier I added a _mirrors.php file in the release directory so you don't have to hunt for links to the mirror finder.


EPP was built with the p2 repositories at:

https://download.eclipse.org/staging/2021-06 and
https://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/2021-06/202106031200/

Please test and send your +1 to this mailing list. +1s are optional as the package will be published anyway.
