[epp-dev] Packaging and shipping runtimes (OpenJ9) as p2 untils in EPP?

Hi all,

As you may have already seen on https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=506244 , the Foundation did approve that EPP packages can shipped with their OpenJ9 runtime included.

Now it's good time to start actually working on it.

I think EPP would be the natural host for packaging those runtimes as p2 artifacts and publish them, because it fits well in the scope of the project and because it did get the approval to do so. Once we have those p2 artifacts ready, then we can easily include them in some EPP packages, and other Eclipse.org projects could decide to just pick them if they need to (upon Foundation approval).

Do you also think EPP is a good host for this OpenJ9 as p2 units, or does anyone have another thing to suggest?
