On a related note, Maven 3.5.3 or later is much better at trapping and reporting errors than the 3.3 stuff. 

Highly recommended that you update your jobs / local config to use the latest.

To build BIRT maven, you have to follow instruction:

Building environment

  • JDK 1.8
  • Maven 3.3.1 or 3.3.3

Please try after moving away your ~/.m2 folder. I'm pretty sure your pom files have incorrect relativePath and the fact it doesn't fail for you is because you have the parent pom installed.

Can you look up what adds this ^^^ repo?

 

I see it's your own pom https://github.com/eclipse/birt/blob/master/pom.xml#L37 . Have you tried updating to 9.4.10 to be in sync with rest?

 

I cloned and try to build but master is not buildable https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=534965 .

Eclipse Platform M7 has jetty.continuation in it's repo http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.8milestones/S-4.8M7-201805092000/plugins/?d . Can someone point me to failing build logs to take a look?

anybody facing a problem with maven launching? 

I’m getting an error when starting a maven build:

 

[ERROR] Error executing Maven.

[ERROR] class "org.slf4j.MavenSlf4jFriend"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package

 

 

Is that a known issue or is it just my local machine misconfiguration?

the checksum issues in the upstream Photon repository could be fixed by Mikaël, and my first impression of the latest EPP package build is good.

 

I'm asking you now to test the packages, and to cast your vote as quickly as possible to this mailing list, because next week we are already concentrating on the first release candidate. The sooner the better!

 

My plan is to ask webmasters on Monday (if they are available) to enable the packages on the download page that received a +1 until then.

 

In the meantime the packages are available for testing from
