Re: [epp-dev] Photon M7 EPP packages

Hi Dennis

Ouch! It is a very known issue. In the past I have twice reported it occurring when not all of a plugin and its fragments are touched when any of the plugin or its fragments is touched. There is a platform releng bug outstanding to make this impossible. Until then it's first come first served on who detects the bad (usually platform) build. While the problem is rare, perhaps once a year, it demonstrates that the Maven/Tycho don't change 'unchanged' timestamps algorithm used by the platform is unsound. I was using it for OCL and QVTd and complained when UML2 abandoned it. I realised my complaint was unsound and so OCL and QVTd always churn qualifier versions just like UML2.

Would you please point to the bug in question?

Hi all,

anybody facing a problem with maven launching?
I’m getting an error when starting a maven build:

[ERROR] Error executing Maven.
[ERROR] class "org.slf4j.MavenSlf4jFriend"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package

Is that a known issue or is it just my local machine misconfiguration?

Kind regards,
Dennis.

Good Morning Package Maintainers,

the checksum issues in the upstream Photon repository could be fixed by Mikaël, and my first impression of the latest EPP package build is good.

I'm asking you now to test the packages, and to cast your vote as quickly as possible to this mailing list, because next week we are already concentrating on the first release candidate. The sooner the better!

My plan is to ask webmasters on Monday (if they are available) to enable the packages on the download page that received a +1 until then.

In the meantime the packages are available for testing from

  https://ci.eclipse.org/packaging/job/photon.epp-tycho-build/221/artifact/org.eclipse.epp.packages/archive/

with the p2 repositories at

  http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/photon/M7
  http://download.eclipse.org/staging/photon/

Thanks for your testing,

Markus
