[epp-dev] Product documentation repository

Greetings Packaging Project developers,

Let me draw your attention to Bug 457072 [1]. In this bug, we've started a discussion about building some fact sheets for some subset of the products (i.e. the packages) that we have available for download from our website.

I have some ideas regarding how we might get this done and would like to start experimenting a bit. As I've stated on the bug, I think that we can get pretty far using something like Asciidoc, which will let us do things like mix and match different sections and even render content in different ways for different purposes.

The packaging project seems like a natural home for this sort of thing and so I'd like to create a Git/Gerrit repository under EPP.

Note that this is not intended to replace infocentre documentation produced by the project teams, but rather augment that documentation. It's more at a marketing level than a technical level. I'm drawing some inspiration from the the PolarSys working group is doing with their solutions (e.g. [2])

Thoughts? Concerns? Approvals (+1) ?

Thanks,

Wayne
