Sorry, it is a blocker. Lots of 32-bit installs out there. The real blocker is getting the OK from the Foundation IP team. We should probably deal with that first if we want to go this route at all.

This is true. But I hope this won't be a blocker. Let's consider having JRE embedded at least for the 64-bit EPP packages. I believe most users pick up the 64-bit vs the 32-bit.

Hi Max,

C - is probably the biggest issue since afaik there are no officially supported builds of openjdk that works on all platforms similar to Oracle and one that comes with regular security updates etc.

How about Zulu? [1]
Looks like officially supported OpenJDK builds provided by an Eclipse member company[2]
