Re: [epp-dev] Luna SR2 RC3

Luna Mac OSX builds from the release in June used to be signed, but due to the many problems with signing and with Apple they are not signed any more. I don't have a Mac and I've given up on that topic because I've been told that Mac users (especially developers) know how to circumvent this problem (because they need to do this most of the time). As you can read between the lines there's a bit of frustration involved.

I know that David did a lot of work in that area, and I read recently that Pascal is now working on restructuring the file layout of Eclipse for Mars. Maybe then it is worth to discuss again the signing issues.

Regards,
Markus

On Mac, I get the "can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" message, which I can workaround OK from system preferences. I tried Java and C/C++ packages. Is this tracked by bug 328317? I was under the impression that this worked before (bug 393571??).

Hi package maintainers,

time for Luna SR2 RC3 which is the last RC before the final RC4 build.

The build with the packages is ready for testing from Hudson:

As usual, the deadline for voting is tomorrow / Friday.

Thanks,
Markus
