Re: [epp-dev] Eclipse Luna RC1 shows blank window after launch

Thanks to Marc-Andre we found the reason - see the bug report for the full story.
As a quick fix I've removed the MPC (Marketplace Client) from the Java package (only from the Java package). I hope we can re-enable it next week with RC3.

I'm now starting a build for RC2.

Thanks,
Markus

Sure, they can be found on the EPP HIPP instance:

You'll find the packages if you drill down into the "Artifacts of the Last Successful Build".

remind me again ... is there somewhere I can get a "preliminary" version of RC2 Java Package?

Usually I'd send out a note about the packages being ready at that time... but right now I see the following bug report as critical:

Bug 436002 - Eclipse Luna RC1 shows blank window after launch
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436002

Maybe it is a bug that affects the Java package on Linux only, and other packages are not affected.

I've been looking into the bug for some time and I'm running out of ideas. Maybe someone else can help searching for the underlying problem? Before going on with RC2 I'd like to understand better, why this problem happens in this package and what we can do against it.

Thanks,
Markus
