Re: [epp-dev] Kepler SR1... and +1 votes

I agree. And while I'd hate to set a precedent, I'd say to go ahead and make it available even without Martin's +1.

It is, after all, "just Eclipse and EGit", which are in lots of other packages so suspect it is safe or someone else would have noticed. I myself have used it some, though didn't go through any "systematic testing".  We should make sure something gets documented, for that package, at
 http://wiki.eclipse.org/EPP/Package_Testing
so others could do the  testing, say if Martin has been on vacation or had a family emergency or something.

So, I'd give it my +0.5 :)

In the future, we should know sooner than Friday if a "vote is missing", so we can make other arrangements, if we can't contact the maintainer.

The Standard package is highlighted on our downloads page and gets almost double the hits as the follow-up package.  Releasing without it almost seems wrong, and I feel it may confuse our users.

This does highlight a weakness in our process, where our ability to release hinges on a single person.

Hi package maintainers,

we are missing a +1 for the Eclipse Standard package. I'm tempted to wait until 11am and if we don't get a +1 until then release the remaining packages independently.

What do others think?

Thanks,
Markus
