I know the page on the Wiki, but the crude description of what needs to be in the XML files doesn’t help automating the process of adding this with every build.
Or are you suggesting that everyone should hand-edit their p2 *.xml files, and do so on multiple builds to test things ?
I’m looking for some scripts or infrastructure – ideally integrated with Tycho, promote/deploy scripts or other common build infrastructure – to automate generation of the metadata for download statistics.
We also briefly discussed this on the Architecture Council last week but we were not aware of such an automation.
