Re: [epp-dev] Re: update - plan until Monday

I just noticed that the Java Dev package for Mac OS X uses an incorrect path for the default workspace location. Instead of the users home directory, it wants to put the workspace beneath the location where the package is installed, in a subdirectory named /Eclipse.app/Contents/MacOS/workspace Is anyone seeing this with any of the other packages? The M7 build I grabbed last week didn't do this.

+1 for the Java package

I filed bugs to document outstanding problems that would be nice to
resolve for RC1.

Hi package maintainers,

based on the latest Galileo repository which is to be released on Monday a
new EPP build is available. For the first time there are all M7 packages
green... thanks a lot for the many updates and changes during the last few
days.

Please test your packages and send me your +1/-1 for the build 20090509-1710
until Monday, 1pmET.

Thanks and regards,
Markus

Hi package maintainers,

- I integrated the patches that you send me (CPP, Java EE, Pulsar) and
- the missing Linux 32-bit binary issue should be fixed now and
- the Galileo staging repository does not (yet) contain the
org.eclipse.jet bundle for the Modeling package and
- the new Pulsar project will deliver an additional feature to Galileo in
a few hours.

I can provide a new build (20090508-1312 -
http://www.eclipse.org/epp/download.php) but would suggest that we wait a
bit longer for the additional content, do a final build and hope that all
packages are building then. This would mean that

- I wait for Galileo and the content, start a rebuild of all packages,
maybe today, maybe on Saturday
- I will copy all packages to the download area to give them some time to
be copied to the download mirrors
- You test your package and send me your +1/-1 on Monday, 1pmET
- I will remove the package from the download area if you send a -1 or if
I don't get a +1 until Monday, 1pmET
- Nathan and I will make the packages available to the public on Monday!

How is your feeling about the packages? I see room for improvements (e.g.
branding here and there, some icons, text, and not to forget the missing
initial repositories - just to mention a few), but overall the packages look
better to me than last year.

Thanks and regards,
Markus
