Re: [epf-dev] EPF Wiki CentOS Install

Hi Marco,
Creating and updating a wiki involves various steps typically for example publish using EPF Composer, zip the publish, upload to server, create baseline process and use it to update the wiki.

It is possible to automate the whole process, so to auto publish and deploy content as engineers commit changes to process content that is under version control. I have done just that recently for two projects, one using RMC and one using EPF. But this is not a trivial step. I don't have clear cut recipe start to finish because it depends on many things.Â

It typically takes me a few days to setup a complete process engineering infrastructure including deployment server, version control, auto deployment, statistics, search. Just to give you one single example: EPF does not integrate with SVN for version control out-of-the-box. The integration can be done but this is not terribly straightforward or documented. There are many things like this along the way to the ideal process engineering infrastructure.

Onno

Hi Onno,

I am definitely interested in the installation script â does the script handle auto-deploying the OpenUP plugin and wiki content as well?

Thanks,

Marco

Hi Marco,
I was a bit busy so I didn't see your question until now. Do you still need help? I think I have a complete CentOS installation script that will create a running environment in one go. There is a newer release of EPF Wiki which includes bug fixes and a search feature based upon Sphinx. I have to check, maybe I forgot to put it in the downloads section.

Hi,

IÂm running into some difficulties when trying to install the EPF Wiki on
a CentOS VM.

IÂm following the installation instructions as outlined here:

r

My trouble begins when I go to run the Wiki in WebRick as I get the
following error:

[mlacasse@localhost epfw]$ ruby script/server production
ruby: No such file or directory -- script/server (LoadError)

I am new to Ruby so IÂm not exactly sure what IÂm missing or what the
source of the error could be.

IÂm working with the following epfw package:
epfw_1_7_85_20131015_202840.zip

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
