Re: [epf-dev] Git migration ?

Subversion is also an option we should explicitly consider. I prefer it to Git. The reason for it is that Git still has some way to go in terms of user friendliness. But both are a big improvement to using CVS so I would personally welcome the change.

I made some inquiries okt 2010 about moving away from CVS see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=328234. The bugzilla is still open.

Should we put this to a vote? We can use this bugzilla to collect the votes from the committer members (tool and content developers).

The migration is a automated process I think so that helps. Of course we will need to update manuals, guidelines on EPF site, I am willing to contribute to that.

Best Regards,
Onno

I've read that all Eclipse projects must move to git until December 21/2012. But I couldn't find any ticket for this in EPF's bugzilla .

So, when EPF team will take care of this subject?
