Re: [epf-dev] Linking to process steps

Hi Raphael,

Your steps are accurate to link process steps (task descriptor), but I cannot reproduce your issue (file name plus different ID if publish again) on EPF 20070821 and 20070823 nightly build. Could you please try it again? Let me know if you still can reproduce it. Thank you.

Re: [epf-dev] Linking to process steps

Charlie,

Hopefully the following provides the detail you are seeking…

In the "Work Breakdown structure" we choose a "User Defined Diagram" and link it to a supporting material.

The Supporting material has an image and an HTML map

The map element refers to steps in the process (which on their turn then link to method elements)

We obtain the URL to the process steps using a published site (by using the process element in the tree view on the standard delivery process) (is there another way???)

We then figure out the relative URL, which results for example in:

    <area shape=" rect" coords="321,25,464,83" ref="../../capabilitypatterns/Requirements%20Verzamelen_E4383D39.html?proc=_9tFekf18EduoZtbZd4_9Yg&amp;path=_9tFekf18EduoZtbZd4_9Yg,_thnEMQR8Edy9P-1RIV0QEQ,_8cxcAAR8Edy9P-1RIV0QEQ,_pRcXkR47Edy1grIpTlycfw,_ymQ8cB48Edy1grIpTlycfw&amp;nodeId=31ddf7ac " />

Then the next day (same release; nightly build 20070821) the _ID part of the URL was different (I don't have that URL any more but recall it was something similar as to:"/../capabilitypatterns/Requirements%20Verzamelen_29xxxx etc etc ")

Thanks in advance Charlie,

Kind regards,

Raphael Parree

    Raphael,

Can you provide more details on this issue? Are you using the same build to publish the two versions of the site?
    Which build is it?

    [epf-dev] Linking to process steps

We would like to use user defined diagrams to depict process flow (using an image in conjunction with a HTML map). We where however unable to find a portable way to link to process steps. Method content elements can be easily drag-n-dropped and are maintained by the environment, process steps (task) seemingly not. We thought we could use the links on the published site, but today they differ from the names we had yesterday: The ID in the name of the HTML file was different even though we did not change that particular process step nor did we change the linked method element.

    Any clues?

    Tx.,
