[epf-dev] Rethink the EPF Website?

Hi,

I wonder if we should rethink the EPF Website....
I also wonder if somebody is willing to help Ricardo and Jao with doing updates to it. Would be great to have a Webmaster having the consumability of the Website as a primary concern (Opportunity for a new person interested in being an eclipse committer?)

I would like people to directly see that we are working on EPF Composer, OpenUP, Scrum, and XP. This is crystal clear when one goes to the download area, but is garbled in the front page. I would also like to do a general clean-up and update. Finally, I would like us to be much more inviting to people that would like to join the project. I suggest there is a page for each component describing how to get started, including maybe who to send an e-mail to if one does not want to blast the whole epf-dev list before knowing what epf-dev is about....

What about the following structure

New to EPF
  • EPF 1.2 released. Download EPF Composer 1.2 and OpenUP 1.0
  • Project Description - introduction to EPF project and related goals
  • Getting Started - papers, demos and presentations to get you started with the project <Needs to get merged with Documentation - related material on how to use EPF Composer >
  • Downloads - builds and releases of EPF Composer and OpenUP for download
  • Collaborate on improving EPF method plug-ins via the EPF Wiki (You will leave Eclipse Web site)
  • Find out how organizations are leveraging EPF by visiting Eclipse Plug-in Central (You will leave Eclipse Web site)

        Requires updates:
        • http://www.eclipse.org/epf/general/description.php - Make Scrum and XP first class citizens
        • http://www.eclipse.org/epf/general/getting_started.php - Remove the "Coming soon" if Peter is not able to get done in next 2 weeks (we can always add later)
        • Right Column's Project Component, on http://www.eclipse.org/epf/ shoudl be updated with Scrum and XP

        Cheers
