[epf-dev] OpenUP neglects data modeling?

Hi

Looking through the content, it occurs to me that we may have inadvertently neglected data modeling, giving an "application software" bias to the content.

Similar (mistaken) perceptions about RUP have caused me headaches for years - usually from indignant database designers who feel their discipline is undervalued in UML-centric development processes. Generally, I tend to think they have a point.

At the very least, I think we need to make sure that the data modeling content from RUP for Small Projects is brought over under the Visual Modeling package.

I will create a bugzilla entry under the Design discipline to cover this. It can always be closed if it's considered un-necessary. I'm perfectly happy to do the work on this.

Views welcome!

regards
