Subject: [Apln] Call for Papers APLN Leadership Summit - London

Our last summit was sold out! The next APLN Leadership Summit will be in London, England, in Tuesday, November 7, 2006, during the Agile Business Conference. For more information about the conference go to the Agile Business Conference site (http://www.agileconference.com).

One aspect of the Leadership Summit program is an experience session that focuses on stories, both successes and failures, about the role of leadership in agile projects and enterprises.  The APLN is searching for compelling stories about the use of agile leadership at the project, product, and/or enterprise level.

Each experience report selected will be provided to the summit participants prior to the Summit and posted on the APLN Members Network (http://apln.sharepointsite.com) website.  Then during lunch the summit participants will have an opportunity to discuss the experiences with authors in a small round table setting.

The experience report should cover one of two topics:

Agile Project Leadership - describing the application of agile leadership principles and practices in a project setting to deliver value to the final customer.

Agile Enterprise Leadership - describing the application of agile leadership principles and practices in a broader organizational setting.

An experience report is a story that you have experience first hand and that would be of interest to summit attendees. Experience reports should reflect your direct experience with one of the topics above.

Experience report proposals should include:
Title and one-paragraph summary
A brief description of the project background
Your story about what happened, focusing on the most interesting and unique aspects.
Conclusions: what you learned, what you'd do next time, and advice for others.
Focus on the story of your experience so readers can learn from your experiences, just as you did.

Please submit direct experiences only. If you provide services such as consulting or software, please avoid the appearance of bias by sharing experiences that do not promote the services you provide. Reports with commercial sales content will not be accepted.

Timeline:
September 08 2006 Submit Experience Report Proposals to summit@xxxxxxxx
September 22 2006 Selected Experience Report Presenters notified
October 20 2006 Final Experience Reports Due

Thank you! And see you at the summit!
