Hi,
Would it be possible for you give us an estimate for completion of 211046?

Now my portal page does not display anymore informations about projects...?
I can't see informations about ecoretools or other EMFT projets and then I
can't nominate a new committer.
Ed Merks a écrit :
Lucas,
I believe the records have been updated now and that David should be
able
to call for a vote for just the ecore tools component. But the
bugzilla
has not changed state to reflect this, so perhaps there is still
outstanding work:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=211046
Perhaps David could see if calling a vote allows him to choose just
the
ecore tools component. If so, we should be good to go. As soon as
all the
committers for that component have voted, the vote will be complete
and
then I can approve it...

Hi,
any update concerning issue raised about EMFT component
voting/records ?
I would need to integrate some of my work to EMFT ecoretools
component
and would need plain commiter rights for that.
Is there a chance to have this issue processed before 3.4M4+3w or
should I workaround my releng stuff until having this fixed later
3.4M5+ ?
cheers,

Anne,
Thanks for the update. I'll wait patiently. The port
is really
helping
to stream line the processes so it's worth it to iron out
the

Hi Ed et al,
Karl was working on this, and he's not back in the office
until
Monday. I know that he was looking at EMFT records in the
Portal and
database to try and get everything in order, but I'm not
sure of the
current status of what he was doing. If we can wait until
Monday when
Karl can take a look at this, that would be best. He has
the best
visibility to what happens in the Portal.
Thanks for following the processes and being patient...
the component
process is new and we found ourselves needing to change
the system to
accommodate components earlier than we had planned for,
which is why
it's been a bit rocky.

Hi,
I hate to be a stickler for processes but if we
don't follow them
properly
it will just likely bite us latter. I believe we
have been
following the
processes carefully, including the excellent new
improved process for
provisioning a new components, but despite that,
the portal records
are a
little out of whack. I opened this bugzilla a
few days ago:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=211046
Unfortunately the only activity so far has been
Sharon asking
Hi Ed: Regarding this bug?.I?m a bit confused
about it. Would
this be
Modelling?s effort on the refactoring front or?
To which I replied:
This is all simply trying to get the records to
match all the
paper work
we've filed for the last few months. If you
check your records
for each
of these committers it will confirm that they
were elected to
exactly
these components. You can also confirm that we
sent
announcements for
the creation the components themselves and you
can confirm that
they
exist is CVS by virtue of having followed the
processes to
create them
Somehow the records in the portal have failed to
keep pace...
I'm trying the best I can to follow the processes
and to keep the EMO
informed about discrepancies in the records the
come from those
processes.
At this point, with the "invalid" vote just
completed, I need some
guidance
as to how to proceed. I.e., before I approve this
vote, I want to be
absolutely clear that only the three ecoretools
committers were
eligible to
vote and that the results of the election gives
Lucas access to
only the
ecoretools component. If necessary I can veto this
result and we
can call
a new election but given that I'm not sure the
portal records are
in place
so that David can nominate Lucas for the ecoretools
component I'm
reluctant
to do that; in fact, I'm pretty sure the records
aren't fixed
because this
link still yields incomplete/incorrect results:
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/lists.php?
list=byproject¶m=modeling.emft
If I do veto the vote, I want to be sure the
EMF/EMFT developers
understand
the reason. I'd certainly like this to proceed
quickly.
