Re: [emf-dev] MOF 2.0

Hi,

I am also very interested in the questions from the original post.  If you have some additional thoughts in this subject following your meeting, I'd very much appreciate a summary.  Also, where are good references on emof?

I have been thinking for some months about using EMF in a similar way as MOF to instanciate the entire UML 1.4 metamodel as an EMF application.  Also for the new UML 2.0.  I would expect others at IBM have looked into this.  Any input in the feasibility, or better yet, a generated UML implementation?

Thanks!

Hi Gonzagues,

Thanks for bringing this attention to us.
There will be a meeting on this subject next week. We'll
let you know the answer afterwards.  Have a nice weekend! ;-)

Thanks,

Hi,

I have chosen the mailing list to ask my questions because it concerns
choices that the dev team has or will do.
Here it is: The OMG has recently adopted a specification for a new version
of MOF and UML, the version 2.0.
- Are you going to provide an implementation of the InfrastructureLibrary ?
- Are you going to align emf with emof ? (Since a large part of the emof
spec come from emf)
- Are you going to provide support for cmof ?
- Can you give some elements of roadmap for any of the above ?

Thanks

Gonzagues
