Hi Lars,
it's a change in Gerrit. The Eclipse Foundation recently upgraded Gerrit.
The URL with /r/a requires authentication.
The URL without /a should allow anonymous access:
git clone https://git.eclipse.org/r/platform/eclipse.platform.images
