Re: [egit-dev] how to attach screenshots to wiki?

Hello,
I have removed myself from this mailing list multiple times and it doesn't work. Please figure out how to get me off this list.

I found that converting to an optimized color map may heavily reduce
the image size, I usually do that with Gimp before uploading images to
the Eclipse wiki:

- create screenshot (I always use PNG format)
- open it in Gimp
- click "Image > Mode > Indexed"
- accept defaults ("Generate optimum paletter") and click "Convert"
- save this by clicking "File > Export..." and choose .png again

usually this reduces the image size by a factor of 2 to 3.

Running ImageOptim (http://imageoptim.com/) afterwards can further
squeeze the image by some percent.

Hi Andre,

Go to http://wiki.eclipse.org/Special:Upload

You will find follow-up instructions there. If you're replacing an
existing screenshot it's better to update it by uploading a newer
version of the same file.

Cheers,
Tomasz
