[egit-dev] New maven series

I dropped Mark Struberg's Maven series and wrote a new one from
scratch, carrying over some of my later commits to add console
based password input and JUnit test helpers.

This should be IP clean in that everything in the series was written
by me.  The series also avoids refactoring and tries to make the
two builds (Maven and Eclipse releng) coexist in parallel to some
sane degree.

If nobody objects, I'm inclined to submit it.
