Re: [eclipselink-users] Fwd: Status of Old EclipseLink Bugs
|
Hi Julien,
thank you for your support and contributions, we do care. Time
permitting we evaluate higher issues based on votes and user impact,
another criteria are issues with provided patches. It is always a huge
advantage if the patch is complete - there are some requirements which
all changesets going to repository need to fulfil (such as test
coverage, e.g.). The more criteria the patch fulfils, the more easily it
is applicable.

This bug apart, could you explain us the processing of issues from the
bug database ? (Was my original question :-) )

Hi Julien,
this looks like quite old issue. I had a quick look at it and looks
like I can't apply your patch on current EclipseLink master branch.
Please, can you try your test with current EclipseLink master branch
build (2.6.0) from
http://www.eclipse.org/eclipselink/downloads/nightly.php?
Let me know if you still see your issue. We'll try to handle it.

Hi,
I submitted a bug on EclipseLink for 2 years and provided a patch :
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=395738
Today, this bug is still opened and absolutely no feedback has been done.
I wonder how bugs in bugzilla are processed and how frequently is the bug database cleaned up.
Keeping bugs for so long time and making no communication to users, sends them bad signal, whether they are new or elder like me.
I find EclipseLink is a fantastic project, so please take care of it and its ecosystem.
