Thanks Chris. We raised a bug on this. We tried the other workaround you
suggested earlier and it worked. But there are many places in our code where
such queries exist. So we would not to change them unless it is wrong coding
practice.

BTW, what is your suggestion? Would you suggest explicitly specifying JOIN
whenever we have a navigable path expression in SELECT?
