[eclipselink-dev] Investigating 571794

Hello everyone!

I would appreciate it if you could look at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=571794 and provide
feedback or thoughts on what should be done here. It may be a
controversial change if only because the JPA spec seems fairly
black/white on what the behavior is and I am advocating for expanding
on the spec because JPQL already does.

I also opened a GIT issue here:
https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/eclipselink/issues/1034 and there are
PRs linked against it so that you can see what change would be made.
