Re: [eclipselink-dev] PSQL support for JPA 2.0

Hi Asha,

Here is the reply I sent last week. Did the email not get to you? I am ccing your actual email address - in case there is some issue with your subscription to our Dev list.

Hi Asha,

We accept contributions of new DatabasePlatforms through our incubator. For some examples of contributed platforms take a look at:

org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.SymfowarePlatform
org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.MaxDBPlatform

in the product in our incubator at:

extensions\org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.hana\src\org\eclipse\persistence\platform\database\HANAPlatform

When you have a version of the your DatabasePlatform you wish to submit, you can attach it to the enhancement request you have submitted either as a Git patch, or as a file.

In order to move it into the product, you will need to ensure a subset of our testing passes on the Platform. Getting the tests to run is a combination of tweaking your platform and documenting what functionality is not available in your platform. When you are ready to do that, I can help you with that.

Hi there,

I am trying to find out details about the process of adding PSQL support for
EclipseLink JPA 2.0 and getting promoted . Pervasive is working on providing
PSQL support for EclipseLink JPA 2.0 and would like to get the PSQL
Database Platform added to the list of extension projects.

I have already submitted a bug (392109
<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=392109>) for this.

Can someone please respond to this email and let me know what the next steps are.

Thanks,

Asha
