[eclipse.org-planning-council] Face-to-face meeting at EclipseCon 2016

Greetings Eclipse Planning and Architecture Council members.

I've created a planning document [1] and a poll to select a good time [2] for a face-to-face meeting at EclipseCon. 2016 in beautiful Reston VA.

The consensus on the Planning Council call today was to not have a breakfast meeting like we've done in the past and instead have a real working meeting. I have suggested a small number of topics in the planning document. The one that is the most interesting to me is the "Our users regard the Eclipse IDE as a product, shouldn't we?"

Traditionally, we do this on Sundays. Since many (most) of us are speakers, it's probably likely that Sunday will still be the best option. Travel always seems to get in the way of full participation on Sundays, so please try to be as flexible as possible on the poll. For the week day options listed on the poll, assume that the 9:00am entries mean "after the keynote", the 1:00pm entries mean "after lunch", and the 6:00pm entries mean "during the BoFs".

If we do select a block during the conference sessions, I'll work with the programme committee to avoid having AC and PC member talks scheduled in conflict.

While I'm at it: the deadline to submit your talks [3] is tomorrow. Do it. Do it now.

Wayne
