Re: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Fwd: [mylyn-versions-dev] Subclipse connector

Alvaro, at al,

FYI, this was stuck in the moderator queue, and just went through. My apologies.

Subject: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Fwd: [mylyn-versions-dev] Subclipse connector

Please provide your opinion on the concern discussed below.

In summary:

The Mylyn Versions Subclipse bundle was created as WORKSWITH (see [1]), it is included in a feature that have dependencies that can not be satisfied from the release train repository, at the moment this bundle is made available from Mylyn releases only,

I am wondering if there are any concerns to make it available to the simultaneous release train in addition to Mylyn releases.

/Alvaro

There's no issue from an EDP point of view. The planning council may have an opinion regarding its inclusion in the simultaneous release, however. I recommend that you take this concern to them.

Hello Wayne,

could you please help use clarify the concern raised by Steffen below ?

The Mylyn Versions subclipse connector bundle has being developed  as

WORKSWITH (see CQ in [1] below)

Are there any concerns to include this bundle in future releases as part of the eclipse release train repository ?

I'm not sure that it's possible to contribute features that have dependencies that can not be satisfied from the release train repository. If it is indeed possible we could consider adding it to the contribution file for Kepler.

I don't see the Mylyn versions subclipse connector under the Juno update site,

however it's available under the Mylyn releases e.g. 3.8.1 and 3.8.2.

Any reason for this difference ?
