Re: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Yesterday's Europa build: GMF and STP missing

+1 for tagging :-).  We automatically tag the map files and builder with the buildId  which makes it very easy to compare content between I-builds.

Also for next coordinated release, it might be a good idea to branch the Europa projects (org.eclipse.europa.tools /cvsroot/callisto etc) into a maintenance branch and continue with Ganymede in HEAD instead of creating new CVS projects. Then the build scripts don't have to be modified to point to a new project, only a new branch.

[eclipse.org-planning-council] Yesterday's Europa build: GMF and        STP missing

Hi Bjorn,

Yesterday's Europa build failed due to GMF and STP
(file not found: update sites already removed?).

Looking at http://dash.eclipse.org/~bfreeman/europa/
it seems that an Europa Staging build was done (or finished?) at
April 11, 2007 11:17:42 PM EDT
it might be a good idea to have another timestamp to see when it
was started. The DSDP-TM build log, for instance, has an entry
!SESSION 2007-04-11 21:49:20
so it looks like the build takes approx. 2 hours?

Another suggestion ... what about tagging the org.eclipse.europa.build
project with a milestone tag once everything is finished?

Cheers,
