The uDig project has requested that the Eclipse Foundation join the Open Geospatial Consortium specification organization[1].

The Eclipse Foundation policy[2] on joining Specification Organizations requires two weeks of advance notice to the membership-at-large. If anyone has any concerns with the Eclipse Foundation joining OGC, please let me know at your earliest convenience.
