[eclipse.org-membership-at-large] Eclipse Marketing Symposium

I am pleased to announce the second annual Eclipse Marketing Symposium on
September 20, 2006 in Dallas, TX.   The purpose of the Symposium is to
explore and discuss the best practices of marketing Eclipse based products.
Our goal is to help educate the marketing and business development
professionals from Eclipse member companies on the successful strategies and
tactics used by others in the Eclipse community.

The list of sessions and speakers include:

- Michael Goulde, Forrester Research, ‘Perspectives on Open Source Evolution
and Adoption’
- Alan Zeichick, Editor in Chief of SD Times, ‘How to Get Good Press
Coverage’
- Session: Eclipse Demographics and Market Research
- Session: How can commercial companies compete with OS Solutions?
- Session: Viral Marketing and Evangelism: What works and what doesn’t?
- Plus more to come.

Anyone from an Eclipse member company is invited to attend and participate
in the Marketing Symposium.   NOTE: The Symposium is being held the day
before the Eclipse Members’ Meeting on September 21 in the same location.
