[eclipse.org-members-committers] Upcoming Reviews, July 14-20/2011

The Orion project is making a very quick turn around. Right on the heels
of project provisioning, they're doing their first release [1]. This may
seem a little odd, but it's not, really. Orion has been around for a
while now, living the Eclipse project's incubator. They've been
generating 0.2 milestone builds for some time now, and so are quite
prepared to make their initial release. If you haven't tried Orion yet,
try it now. You'll thank me. :-)

This week, we've added the Requirements Modeling Framework (RMF) project
proposal. The RMF project's focus is the creation of libraries and tools
for working with ReqIF-based requirements. The objective is to provide
the community with a solid implementation of the standard upon which
various tools can be built. RMF will provide a means for data exchange
between tools, an EMF-based data model, infrastructure tooling and a
user interface.

Community members, please be sure to check out the new beta version of
the project summary pages [3]. One unintended side effect of the new
version is that it provides a handy way to flip through all the
projects to get a sense for what's out there. Project leads: the content
the project summary pages is only as good as the information provided
via the development portal. My recent blog post [4] describes some of
the key metadata elements that should be provided to help these pages
make your project look good (there aren't that many).

As always, your comments and questions are welcome.

Thanks,

Wayne
