[eclipse.org-members-committers] Upcoming Reviews, June 23-30/2011

This week, we have three creation reviews scheduled.

First up is the Orion [1] project. The Orion project's focus is
creating components, services, and libraries for building web-based
development tools. This includes browser client infrastructure built
using widely adopted web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Also included is server-side infrastructure needed by such development
tools. This includes infrastructure supporting file management, search,
user management, preferences, generic source control, compare, file
history, editors, and user interface widgets and controls required to
build development tools. There's been considerable buzz about Orion over
the past several months; but the code has been developed in the e4
Incubator under the Eclipse Top Level Project. It's time to make this
into an independent project of its own.

Next is the BPMN 2.0 Modeler [2] project. The BPMN 2.0 Modeler provides
a graphical modeling tool which allows creation and editing of BPMN (
Business Process Modeling Notation ) diagrams. The tool is built on
Eclipse Graphiti and uses the BPMN 2.0 EMF meta model currently being
developed within the Eclipse Model Development Tools (MDT) project. This
meta model is compatible with the BPMN 2.0 specification proposed by the
Object Management Group.

Finally, we have the Hudson [3] project. The primary goals of this
project are to make a high-quality continuous integration server and
help the ecosystem of Hudson plugins, extensions and integrations
flourish. The Hudson project will be an exciting addition to the Eclipse
family that has already drawn a lot of interest from the community.

As always, your input is invited on the eclipse.proposals [4] forum.

Thanks,

Wayne
