Meeting Teleconference 1. Galileo activities http://www.eclipse.org/galileo -Galileo involves 33 projects and takes place June 24 this
year -A press release will go out June 24 on new features in the
release, focusing on the adoption of runtime (Equinox/OSGi), the growth in the
modeling projects and the expansion of enterprise adoption (Mac Cocoa support,
PHP IDE, BIRT) -Eclipse is holding a virtual conference called Galileo In
Action on June 26 where project leads will show demos of their new features -A “blogathon” is being held to get people
talking about the release – bloggers get a shirt or Friends of Eclipse
membership for participating -Galileo has an account on Twitter and a “birdsnest”
has been created for followers: http://galileo.chinposin.com/ -Links to download Galileo and information on the Galileo
projects, Galileo In Action, the blogathon and the Twitter birdsnest are
available from http://www.eclipse.org/galileo/ -DemoCamps are being held around the world until the end of
June: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_DemoCamps_Galileo_2009 2. Community Survey results http://www.eclipse.org/org/press-release/20090527_survey09.php -A survey of the Eclipse community was conducted April
15-May 15 -Had 1,400 respondents -A summary of the results will be presented on the members

will be held online through GoToMeeting -Call will include an update and the latest stats. from the
Executive Director, results from Eclipse’s recent Community Survey,
project updates and new member introductions -If you would like to give a project update or are a new

benefit to membership -Eclipse downloads page gets about 1,000 downloads per month -Participating in the distro program redirects some of this
traffic to your site -Since the Eclipse downloads is popular and a well-respected
site, members have also found that participating improved their Google search
results -For the Galileo release, Eclipse is increasing the
visibility of members who participate -It’s free to join the program but you will have to
