sent out next week -The Foundation is working on a community press release to highlight
members’ EclipseCon announcements -The general theme is runtimes -To participate in the community release, send a 50-word
summary and link to your full announcement to -If you would like a quote from Mike for your press release,
send a draft of the quote and your press release to Ian at ian at eclipse dot
org by March 18 – turnaround is usually within 48 hours -Requests for quotes after March 18 may take longer to
approve -There is a press interview room available for your use at EclipseCon
in 30 minute slots – email 2. Members Meeting & Jumpstart Meeting http://www.eclipse.org/go/ECMM March 23, 2009 -A Members Meeting will take place the Monday of EclipseCon
– March 23 in the afternoon -There will be some guest speakers, introductions of new
members and project updates -A New Members Jumpstart Meeting will be held March 23 in
the morning -RSVP to members.meeting at eclipse dot org -A Members Reception will follow the meetings 3. Executive Strategy http://www.eclipse.org/go/ECSS March 26, 2009 -Focus of the -There will be 2 industry speakers: Larry Rosen (Rosenlaw
& Einschlag) and Matt Aslett (451 Group); 2 case studies: Paul Clenahan
(Actuate) and Jochen Krause (EclipseSource); and a panel on the future of open

EclipseCon on March 23 -Ceremony is after the Members Meeting at 5:30 in the
theatre 5. Eclipse Training Series http://www.eclipse.org/community/training/2009spring.php April 6-May 29, 2009 Worldwide -58 classes in 30 cities have been scheduled and
registration is open -We will have a flyer at EclipseCon -Early registration deadline is March 20 6.
