-Eclipse will run a passport game again, where attendees collect stamps at member company booths in a booklet, in order to receive a giveaway from Eclipse

-The deadline for agreements is this coming Monday, April 14 - email lynn at eclipse dot org if you’re interested in participating

-Eclipse will post a party at the ThirstyBear in San Francisco on May 7 at 7:00 pm

-No press is planned for JavaOne

 

Extra note: a press release is scheduled to go out next week as the Embedded Systems Conference in Silicon Valley on a new Eclipse project led by Texas Instruments

 

 

2. Market Research

-The Foundation is organizing a survey of the Eclipse community to find out the wants and needs of developers

-Previously, Evans Data has run this survey for us

-Participating member companies share the costs of the survey and have access to the results

-Email ian dot skerrett at eclipse dot org if you’re interested in participating

 

 

3. Ganymede DemoCamps

-Eclipse’s major release at the end of June involved 24 projects and is named Ganymede

-Eclipse is organizing informal democamps around the world during the month of June to show off what people are doing with Eclipse

-Democamps will be announced in the next week and we’ll be looking for organizers

-New this time, organizers are encouraged to look for other sponsorship for their democamps

-Members can get recognition by sponsoring a democamp in their local area

-Eclipse will be funding up to 20 democamps to a maximum of $250 USD each
