3. JavaOne 4. Market Research 1. EclipseCon Mar. 17-20, 2008 -There were over 1,400 attendees, the highest attendance at
EclipseCon so far -Both the Foundation and Eclipse member companies received
good press coverage -Next year’s dates are Mar. 23-26 in 2. PluginFest http://wiki.eclipse.org/PluginFest_2008 Apr. 16-17, 2008 -Event to test interoperability between commercial tools in
the embedded space -No charge to attend, but participants need to sign up this
week 3. JavaOne http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf/ May 6-9, 2008 -Eclipse will run a passport game again, where attendees
collect stamps at member company booths in a booklet, in order to receive a
giveaway from Eclipse -Eclipse will post a party at a local bar on the Wed. night
of JavaOne -There are no concrete press plans yet 4. Market Research -In the past Eclipse has coordinated a custom research
project polling the Eclipse community -Previously done through Evans Data -Participating member companies share the cots of the survey -Ask questions to find out trends and wants & needs of
