running 2 democamp programs in 2008 – one in May/June around the Ganymede
release, and in November/December again.

The survey results are available to Eclipse member
companies, so email Ian Skerrett at ian dot skerret at eclipse dot org if you
need a copy.
5. RCP Training
Eclipse ran an RCP training series with member companies last
September-October. Another series is being planned for May-June
2008. The first planning call is taking place January 17, 2008 so more info
is still to come. If you’re interested in participating in the
planning call, email Ian Skerrett at ian dot skerret at eclipse dot org and he
will send you the details.
6. PluginFest
http://wiki.eclipse.org/PluginFest_2008
Sunnyvale, CA
April 16-17, 2008
Eclipse is planning a PluginFest similar to the one that
took place January 2007 in London.
The event is designed to allow different vendors to test the inter-operability
and compatibility of their products. This PluginFest will focus on
vendors of mobile and embedded products. Planning just started this week
so more info is to come. Promotions will likely start within 2 weeks.
A PluginFest for enterprise & Java was suggested in the
fall, but there didn’t seem to be enough interest so it didn’t go
forward. If this would be of interest to you, please email Ian Skerrett
at ian dot skerrett at eclipse dot org. Another suggestion is to see if
we can provide some type of certification for participating as this would help
reassure customers about inter-operability.
